I always find myself in a perpetual struggle to enjoy the now while looking forward to the future. That’s the planner in me. I like to plan my meals, plan my schedule and I definitely like to plan vacations.
That doesn’t mean I don’t want to enjoy today, it just means, it’s a mental struggle – not a big one – but it’s there.
Nothing is harder in the south than waiting for autumn, especially in September. In our neck of the woods we get two blessed days where the high temperature is predicted to be 78 degrees before the first day of autumn comes (September 23rd this year) with its predicted temperature of 89 degrees. Welcome to the south.
What is worse is that the stores are full of not just autumnal decorations but sweaters and boots. Really cute sweaters and boots. I still have my sweater bod, so when the temps drop, I. Am. Ready.
Just remember, if a September hurricane sees it’s shadow, that means 6 more weeks of summer.
